Got married in '76 at 19. (what was I thinking?) Started out in banking. Left that for awhile, and owned a Sounds Easy video store on Ft. Union Blvd. in the 80's. Went back to banking (for a total of 8 1/2 years) But found my favorite job in 1992 as a Realtor (for 33 years now)! Hardest job I've ever LOVED!
I've been fortunate to be able to travel a little. Out of country: Mexico, Ireland, Canada, Germany. In country..... several places. My dad started me whitewater rafting at about age 14, and I've enjoyed doing that. I've guided several groups mostly down the Colorado and Green Rivers. Took a group of 39 down Desolation Canyon on the Green for 5 days! I've passed rafting down to my kids, and a couple of them have purchased their own rafts and carry on the tradition. I had a 2nd marriage in 2009 to Steven Watson, who died in 2021. After being widowed, I decided to spend an otherwise slow real estate winter ('23-24) checking off "being a ski bum" for 1 season at ALTA. LOVED IT! I worked 2 days a week and skied free! I just remarried in 2024 to Michael Nilson. I'm training him to camp and travel. He's taken to it well... :-) Life has been VERY hard at times, but I always seem to come out on top in the end. God has mostly blessed me. I maintain a few friends from Clayton Jr. High, and East as well as past co-workers, and former church associates. To quote the words to a Girl Scout song, "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold!"
